Nick Nielsen, voice of the Prince Albert Raiders

Originally from Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Nick Nielsen will take over as the new voice of the Prince Albert Raiders this season. Nielsen graduated from Lethbridge College (now Lethbridge Polytechnic) in 2017 with a diploma in Digital Journalism, which also got him his start in play-by-play calling Lethbridge College Kodiaks basketball and volleyball, including the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Basketball Championships. 

After getting his start in play-by-play as the voice of the Big Six Hockey League in 2018, Nielsen spent five seasons calling hockey in the SJHL with the Weyburn Red Wings and the Kindersley Klippers, including being part of the broadcast crew for the SJHL Showcase and the SJHL Finals. Nielsen also spent a season as the lead play-by-play voice of the Weyburn Beavers in the Western Canadian Baseball League.
