Having journeyed through various musical styles over the years from rock to acoustic indie, Justin Hogg has truly found his roots in the country music scene. Drawing on influences like Keith Urban and Hunter Hayes, his style is a blend of country, rock, and pop music with his own twist of originality. His style and talent resulted in over 75 performances and two CCMA showcases in 2018, including proudly representing Alberta as part of the ACMA contingent in Hamilton. Additionally, Justin earned a coveted spot in the line up at the 2018 ACMA “Fanfest” event held during the ACMA Awards weekend, building off of his 2017 nod from the Alberta Country Music Awards, for “Smoke Signals” for song of the year.
Justin’s adaptable style translates well across multiple venue styles, from small intimate stages to larger festival stages, and his boyish charm and good nature allows him to connect effortlessly with his audience. Having been offered opening slots for Brett Kissel, High Valley, George Canyon, Jess Moskaluke, Aaron Pritchett, Emerson Drive, and Dan Davidson among others, Justin takes every opportunity to learn from the experience of artists that have paved the way for others in Canadian Country Music. With perseverance, planning and motivation at the core, it’s full steam ahead for Justin Hogg!
