In the wake of a tragedy on April 6th 2018 that impacted the local communities that surround us and others around the world. Along with the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation Today we honour Logan Boulet, one of the 16 lives lost in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash 7 years ago. Logan was an organ donor—his choice saved 6 lives. Geri-Lynn Johnston, Vice President of the STARS Foundation, shared heartfelt thanks following the 2025 Critical Care on the Air Radiothon, presented by BHP. Over two powerful days, listeners heard firsthand from STARS patients, flight crew, and community allies—all united by stories of survival and hope.
Thanks to overwhelming generosity, more than $535,000 was raised to support STARS’ mission of delivering critical care anywhere.
A special thank-you goes out to five courageous patients—Lyle, Drayden, Tyler, Sean, and Paula—who shared their personal journeys to help future patients in need.
STARS also recognized their incredible sponsors for fueling the mission and helping ensure STARS can always be there when it matters most.

Jake Vaadeland took a risk most wouldn’t dare—trading textbooks for touring and choosing music over the classroom. Faced with doubts and discouragement, he poured his experience into songwriting… and now? He’s a 2025 Juno Award winner for Traditional Roots Album of the Year!
His album, Retro Man… More and More (Expanded Edition), is a heartfelt nod to his journey—full of rebellion, warmth, and raw honesty. And it just made its mark on Canada’s biggest music stage at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
Here’s to trusting your gut, chasing the dream, and proving the naysayers wrong.Congrats, Jake!
